Srinagar, October 6 (KNS): Several areas of Srinagar, including the uptown areas are facing acute shortage of drinking water. According to locals, the areas which areas are currently facing water crisis are Hari Singh High Street, Maharaj Bazar, Sarai Bala payeen, Sarai Bala with locals accusing the Jal Shakti officials of being indifferent towards their problems.
"From three days now and we are without piped drinking water. We don’t even receive water from tankers,” said residents. " Officials ignored out plight," they told KNS.
The residents demanded immediate restoration of water supply,
The residents have appealed to Lt Governor to look into the matter urgently.( KNS)
