Transfer order of SDAO Beerwah issued by M D Khan can’t be rescinded: Sec Agri

Srinagar, Sep 15 (KNS): A video showing helpers and daily wagers of Agriculture department working in the agriculture land of sub divisional agricultural officer facing trial in the State Vigilance Organisation under FIR no 1/2018 has gone viral on social media and amid this controversy secretary agriculture is refusing to rescind an order issued by former secretary agriculture M D Khan presently in the custody of Crime Branch on charges of tempering his date of birth.
Sources disclosed to KNS that though government after the booking and arrest of former secretary agriculture M D Khan on charges of tempering his date of birth rescinded all the transfer orders which he had issued during his tenure as secretary agriculture but the incumbent secretary agriculture is refusing to rescind Khan’s one order which he issued for the placement of sub divisional agriculture officer Beerwah as district agriculture officer Budgam. The order is being challenged on the contest that the said sub divisional agriculture officer Beerwah is already facing trial in the State Vigilance Organisation in a case registered under FIR no 1/2018.
The helpers and daily wagers shown working in the agriculture land of SDAO Beerwah Nazir Ahmad Sheikh include Bashir Ahmad Wani, Shabir Ahmad Bhat and Bashir Ahmad Ganaie.
When contacted Secretary Agriculture Manzoor Ahmad Lone told KNS “the order of posting of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh as District Agriculture Officer Budgam has been issued with the approval of Advisor Khursheed Ahmad Ganaie and so the order can’t be rescinded.”
When asked that when all other such orders have been rescinded why can’t Sheikh’s order be rescinded, Secretary Agriculture said “I will look into it and come back to you as I am presently busy in a meeting of the State Administrative Council.”
It may be mentioned here that no administrative secretary is part of the administrative council headed by Governor and represented among others by three advisors and chief secretary only. (KNS)
