Bandipora, Jan 12 (KNS): Vice-Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Wakf Board, Nizam-ud-din Bhat today visited Shrine of Hazrat Sultan-ul-Arifeen, Sheikh Hamzah Makhdoom Sahib (RA) in Ahamsharief and reviewed its functioning for the first time after assuming charge as Vice-Chairman Wakf Board.
During the review meeting the functionaries of the shrine told Bhat that Musafir Khana, Langar and additional bathrooms should be established and which VC acknowledged and said the shrine needs that.
Bhat was informed that the basic facilities to devotees who pay obeisance at the shrine daily is satisfactory but when on the holy days the devotees get effected badly in absence of adequate bathrooms and buildings. They said that the work should be doubled and more bathrooms, a Langar and a Musafir khana should be established for the smooth conduct of holy days.”
Nizam-ud-din Bhat while talking to media persons after paying Obeisance in shrine said, that the work done by Wakf in Hazrat Sultan-ul-Arifeen, Sheikh Hamzah Makhdoom Sahib (RA) shrine located in Ahamsharief area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district is satisfactory and said Wakf will redouble the efforts to complete the pending construction work of the shrine.
He said during his tenure as MLA, he announced Ahem-Sharief as Model Village because of the importance of the shrine and also released Rs 10 lac for the developmental works of the shrine and around. he said.“I assure that whatever comes under the Wakf Board will be done and the money will be spent properly to add up the works in the shrine, he said.”
Earlier, the Vice-Chairman was felicitated in the shrine and was felicitated by doing “Dastar-Bandi”. later he paid obeisance at the Shrine and prayed for the peace and prosperity in the State besides wellbeing of people. (KNS)
