Kupwara, Mar 04 (KNS): The practice of Unani doctors to prescribe English medicine is taking toll in Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara with people expressing resentment over the issue.
In a blatant violation of Supreme Court guidelines and Medical Council of India (MCI) norms, the doctors possessing degrees in Unani, Ayurveda or Homeopathic system of medicines are practicing Allopathic system in Kupwara Hospital at the cost of the heath of gullible patients.
Sources said that doctors holding degrees in alternative medicine continue to prescribe allopathic drugs in the Kupwara hospitals, putting lives of patients at risk and sometimes BUMS doctors are running causality/ Emergency services. (KNS)
