Two-day session of General Council of SMC concluded

Srinagar, Feb 22 (KNS): A two-day session of the General Council of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) under the chairmanship of Mayor Srinagar Junaid Azeem Mattu was Friday concluded with the unanimous passage of four resolutions by the house.
According to a statement issued to JKNS, this was the fourth session of the General Council .Majority of Corporators was maintained in the Corporation Hall and 100% listed business completed.
Four resolutions that were adopted unanimously by SMC General Council include seeking foolproof defense of Art 35-A, Art-370, appeal to Central Govt to ensure safety of Kashmiri students, Operational allowances for Corporators and expediting emergent works through rate structures.
Furthermore, issues pertaining to public importance were disscussed at length
Besides Commissioner SMC Tariq Ali, Additional Commissioner Nazir Ahmed Baba, Joint Commissioner Adm Ab Majeed Raina, Financial Advisor SMC Ghulam Nabi Bhat, Secretary SMC Hilal Dewaani various senior Officers of Corporation, Public and some journalists from Media Fraternity were present in the council.
The session was adjourned peacefully and shall resume tomorrow (Saturday) at 11am. (KNS)
