Two army personnel killed in cross border fire in Rajouri


Srinagar, Nov 27 (KNS): Two army personnel were killed along Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district of Jammu division, officials said.
According to defense sources, Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked CFV on the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district on early hours of November 27.
“Troops responded immediately to the enemy fire and in the ensuing fire two forces personnel of Indian Army got critically injured who succumbed to their injuries later on”, Lieutenant Col Divender Anand said.
He identified the killed forces personnel as Naik Prem Bahadur Khatri and Rifleman Sukhbir Singh, saying both jawans were brave, highly motivated and sincere towards cause.
Pertinently on November 26, a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) was killed and a civilian was injured on LoC in Poonch district. (KNS)
