Tulip garden thrown open for public: Dir Floriculture

Srinagar, Mar 31 (KNS): The tulip garden has been today thrown open for public with Floriculture department stating the inaugral function was held with simplicity because of the Model Code of Conduct in place.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) Director Floriculture Dr Hafeez Shah said this year there are 51 new varieties which were not in the garden previously including 12 high density varieties.

He said the flood lights have also been set up that extend the stay time in the garden. “The visitors can stay even during the evening time as well.”

Shah said there is a slight increase in ticket rate due to GST. (KNS)
