Srinagar, Dec 27 (KNS): Traffic from Srinagar to Jammu will ply on the national highway on Saturday with both light and heavy motor vehicles allowed to move.
On Friday the traffic from Jammu to Srinagar was allowed on the highway.
A Traffic official told KNS that only one-way traffic from Srinagar to Jammu will be allowed to ply on the highway on Saturday. However, he said light motor vehicles will have to cross Qazigund till 11 am after which the trucks will be allowed to ply.
The highway was partially reopened on Monday after remaining closed for three consecutive days due to landslides and accumulation of snow. Since early November, the highway got closed several times due to snowfall and landslides causing huge inconvenience to the travellers. (KNS)
