Srinagar, Mar 22 (KNS): CPI(M) leader and MLA Kulgam, M Y Tarigami on Thursday condemned the killing of a youth who was thrashed and tortured by unknown persons on March 8 this month has succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS this morning.
While expressing his grief, M Y Tarigami said that it is a coward act to kill anyone. It is a condemnable act.
However, Police on Thursday said that one Omais Rashid Bhat of Qaimoh aged about 20 years was abducted by some unknown persons from his native village Qaimoh during evening hours of March 8 with the intention to kill him.
He was then thrown away at Ves Batpora area in the almost unconscious state and later on referred to Srinagar hospital for treatment.
Police have registered an FIR vide number 4/18 under section 364 RPC and had taken up an investigation.” (KNS)
