Hails his efforts for ‘historical decision’ of resolving SSA teachers issue

Srinagar, Dec 11 (KNS): A high level delegation of Teachers Joint Action Committee led by President Employees Joint Action Committee and Chairman TJAC, Ab Qayoom Wani on Tuesday met Chief Secretary B.V. R. Subramanyium in his office chamber at Civil Secretariat Jammu.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the delegation thanked wholeheartedly Chief Secretary B.V. R. Subramanyium for taking personnel interest in resolving the big issues related to SSA teachers, Head teacher RMSA Masters and Headmasters with regard to implementation of 7th Pay Commission, creation of posts and linking of their salaries with State sector.
The delegation termed the decision historical and teacher friendly in which almost all the issues of teachers’ upto joint directors have been redressed, besides creating promotional avenues for whole teaching fraternity.
It requested the Chief Secretary to wave off the condition of passing graduation to undergraduate teachers keeping in view their age and other factors.
Chief Secretary said that more than 7700 posts have been already created and reserved for regularisation of undergraduate teachers which includes 28663 posts.
He assured the delegation that ‘there is no need to be panic as we are looking into the issue of undergraduate teachers regarding the condition of passing graduation’ and assured that ‘we are looking into this issue with positive mindset keeping in view all factors and concern of Teachers and justice will be provided to them at an earliest’.
The delegation hailed the role of Chief Secretary in resolving the employee issues, improving work culture and public delivery system and minimizing the level of corruption in the state.
The delegation assured CS that teachers are committed to improve work culture and quality of education with missionary zeal and zest.
After thanking the CS, an emergency meeting of TJAC was held at civil secretariat Jammu in which undergraduate teachers were urged not to be panic as the administration is favourably considering their issue and the leaders of TJAC are already in touch with the administration.
“So, teachers are requested not to pay heed to rumours because rumour mongers are spreading fake and fabricated news that undergraduate teachers have not been covered under 7th Pay Commission which is totally baseless and every teacher whether Headmaster, Master, Head teachers, Teacher (Graduate or Undergraduate) working under SSA or RMSA are entitled for 7th Pay Commission as per SAC decision and simultaneously posts have been created for them also,” the statement added.
The leaders of TJAC who were in the delegation comprised of Gazi Ab Aziz, Ganesh Khajuria, Mohd Afzal Bhat, Pir Nisar Ahmad, Saleem Sagar, Yog Raj Singh, Khadim Raza, Bharat Bhushan, Mohd Ali, Gh Nabi Ganie and others. (KNS)
