Akbar Lone, others stage walkout against Speaker's ruling

Jammu, Feb 07 (KNS): National Conference MLA from Sonawari Mohammad Akbar Lone here on Wednesday walked out of the assembly over the demand for debate on Non Performing Accounts (NPA's) of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank and the backdoor appointments ordered during last three years by the incumbent chairman Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
According to the KNS correspondent, the demand for debate on NPA's and backdoor appointments in J&K Bank during last three years was disallowed by Speaker Assembly Kavinder Gupta despite repeated insistence from National Conference members Mohammad Akbar Lone, Abdul Majeed Larmi, Shameema Firdous, Devender Singh Rana and several others. Amid heated exchange of words, Akbar Lone told the Speaker that he (Kavinder Gupta) is also one among the big defaulters of Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
Mohammad Akbar Lone and others walked out of the house in protest and threatened to expose all the alleged bunglings of J&K Bank particularly the defaulters who are running non performing accounts (NPA's) and the backdoor appointments ordered during last three years. (KNS)
