Srinagar, Nov 28 (KNS): Prof. Saifuddin Soz, former union minister Tuesday expressed his anguish at the passing away of Malik Sharif-ud-Din, a retired Judge of Delhi High Court.
In a statement to KNS, Soz said, “I knew Malik Sharif-ud-Din as a very dynamic and forward looking judge with a sound knowledge of law. He was also a very keen observer of neighbourhood and was, therefore, deeply interested to help the neighbourhood through social movements.
Soz siad the Malik dynasty of Sopore and its prominent member late Abdul Gani Malik, a senior political leader (elder brother Malik Sharif-ud-Din) had done pioneering work for the political and social development of the district, particularly, the neighbourhood in Sopore.
He said Malik Sharif-ud-Din’s passing away is a great loss to the people of Kashmir. (KNS)
