Srinagar, Dec 02 (KNS): Former union minister and senior Congress leader, Prof. Saifuddin Soz Saturday expressed grief over the demise of Adarsh Sein Anand, former Chief Justice of India.
“I express my deepest anguish at the demise of Adarsh Sein Anand, former Chief Justice of India. He was the first person from the J&K State to be the Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India. Adarsh Sein Anand’s death is a great loss to the Jammu and Kashmir State,” Soz said in a statement issued to KNS.
“A jurist of high standing, he had a deep knowledge of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir and discussed in detail its provisions. He analyzed the achievement of the people of J&K State by the Institution of J&K Constituent Assembly,” he said.
He said that Adarsh Sein Anand, among other things, wrote a book on the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir State and analyzed constitutional measures that brought great welfare to the people of J&K State.
“I offer my deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray that his soul rests in peace,” he added. (KNS)
