Srinagar, Nov 24 (KNS): The night temperature in Kashmir valley is likely to improve as light snowfall is expected in upper reaches in the next 24 hours.
An official in MeT told KNS that there will be improvement in night temperature. The last bight was the coldest November night in a decade as the minimum temperature was recorded minus 3.1 degrees Celsius, down 0.8 degrees from previous night,” an official of the Meteorological Department here said.
“We are expecting few notches up in the minus temperature. There are chances of snow in upper reaches and the sky will remain cloudy in plain areas,” said the official.
The official said the city had recorded minus 4.8 degrees Celsius on 28 November, 2007 which was the lowest night temperature ever in this month. According to him, the all time lowest temperature was recorded minus 7.8 in November, 1934. (KNS)
