Shops in centre create nuisance in Bus Stand Tral, locals demand relocation

Tral, Jul 24 (KNS): During morning and afternoon hours, locals face inconveniences in presence of shopping complex at the centre of Bus Stand in Tral area of south Kashmir.

A delegation of locals told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that they are usually facing traffic jams, due to these shops, which have occupied a lot of space in between new and old Bus Stand, and are creating hurdles among the locals.

They said that school and college students also suffer as the shops are located on college road which have not been relocated despites several requests of people.

People who drive on Kahlil and other roads complain that columns of the vehicle are parked on either side of the shopping complex which create nuisance in the area all the time.

Reports said that due to the presence of this shopping complex, security forces also face many issues as many untoward incidents took place near this complex in last fourteen years, which claimed the lives of common people including women.

An official has said that police and civil administration had already recommended the relocation of these shops to avoid nuisance and other untoward incidents but nothing has been done so far.

The locals have demanded immediate intervention of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan and Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Syed Abid Rashid into the matter and said that relocation of shops in the Bus Stand of Tral is the need of hour. (KNS)
