Says 'Naked dance of death intolerable'

Jammu, Jan 28 (KNS): Terming killings of two youth and injuring scores of innocent civilians in security forces firing in Shopian district yesterday a ‘mayhem’, Chairman PDF and MLA Khansahib, Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen on Sunday has questioned the tall claims of the Govt. about zero tolerance against civilian casualties. He said that the unchecked killings of civilians was a cause of serious concern for all peace loving people. He has expressed concern on failure of the Government to check human rights violations in the state adding that the people of the state, especially Kashmir valley , feel unsafe and insecure as their life and property is at stake.
Ridiculing the government for its utter failure to rein in violators of SOP, he said how long it will deceive people by announcing inquiry after enquiry for killings of innocents day in and day out. He said barbarity unleashed upon the people of Kashmir has become an order of the day which is intolerable. "Enough is enough, this naked dance of death and mayhem should stop now," Hakeem Yaseen maintained. He said the present government has lost its authority to govern the state. He said Security personnel being a disciplined force should use other means the curb mass protests other than firing live bullets on crowds
He said had Security forces used other effective mob control means available to them , killing of 20 year old Javed Bhat and 24 year old Suhail Lone on the spot and critically injuring 9 others who are battling for life in hospitals could have been avoided. He said government was beating about the bush by registering an FIR by Kashmir Police against the army and ordering an inquiry on the barbaric incident by the divisional commissioner Kashmir amounts to rub salt on the wounds as the people of the state know that this ugly massacre shall meet the same fate as in other similar cases, Hakeem added.
