Srinagar, Apr 17 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) leader Shehla Rashid has extended her support to an independent candidate from Kargil, Sajjad Hussain (Kargili) who will contest for Lok Sabha election from Kargil-Leh parliamentary seat which is currently unrepresented after the BJP MP Thupstan Chhewang resigned from his post, citing BJP’s betrayal over Union Territory status to Ladakh.

Shehla in a tweet congratulated Sajjad Hussain and wished him victory. Sajjad Hussain (Kargili) is likely to file his nomination for the said Lok Sabha seat tomorrow Thursday 18th April.

Shehla Rashid in a statement said that more idealistic youth like Sajjad Kargili should come into politics so that the genuine issues of people can be brought to the forefront. (KNS)
