People seek return of power projects, development of JK

Srinagar, Nov 28 (KNS): At least 27 delegations Tuesday called on the Government of India’s representative, Dineshwar Sharma, to continue the process of sustained dialogue in Anantnag to carry pout sustained dialogue process.
Sharma started meeting delegations in the morning and was busy meeting them till late evening.
Sources said that the delegations which met Sharma sought return of hydro power projects from NHPC, lack of good governance and daily issues of development.
Official sources said that the delegations which called on Sharma included Anantnag Youth Forum, BJP, Indian national Congress, Youth Services and Sports, Youth from Kehribal Rambirpora, Civil Society, students and different little known activists of the district.
The authorities had made strict security arrangements for the meetings at Dak Banglow throughout the day.
Sofi Arafat, Sajad Ahmad and Umar Nisar of ‘Be The Change’ group who met Sharma urged him that dialogue must be institutionalized for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue
Official sources said the delegations raised the issues of return of power projects from NHPC, peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue and lack of good governance in the state
Sharma is on the second leg of his visit to the state which began from Jammu, Pulwama visit on Sunday.
After its hard stance on Kashmir, BJP government on October 23 announced to carry sustained dialogue on Kashmir through Sharma by talking to all stakeholders to understand legitimate aspirations of people in Jammu and Kashmir.
However, till now, major stakeholder, Hurriyat, has rejected the process, while prominent trade bodies of the valley have stayed away from meeting him.
Earlier, he visited the state and met nearly 100 delegations, political, apolitical and civil society groups. (KNS)
