Srinagar April 26, (KNS): Senior Congress Leader & Ex. MLA Shangus has drawn the attention of the Authorities to the current scenario in Shangus Constituency, describing it as adversely impacted area in the entire District with more than 28 positive Covid 19, so far.
According to statement issued to KNS, Senior Congress Leader and MLA Shangus Gulzar Ahmad Wani has expressed serious concern over current scenario in the backdrop of the spread of Covid 19 virus in Shagus area, urging the Authorities to take effective measures to ensure that the deadly virus doesn’t impact other villages in the area.
Wani apprehended that there might be some more impacted people in red zones, the authorities need to intensify the testing of suspects at large scale, as that will only exhibit the clear picture of the disease in Shangus area. He also laid emphasizes over following the necessary protocol in this direction, he said.
The Authorities should have taken early steps to detect the Virus in the area, but it seems, they were little late to know about the status, as a result, more and more positive cases coming out, Wani added
Score of villages have been declared Red Zones/Hotspots, Gulam Ahmad Wani said and urged the Authorities to provide essentials and other required facilities at the door steps of the people in order to ensure that they (people) were not forced to go out for purchasing essential.
Senior Congress Leaders also sought adequate supply of electricity in the area, it said (KNS)
