Srinagar, Nov 25 (KNS): Prominent civil society member, Mohammad Shafi Pandit has paid tribute to Veteran journalist and founder of popular Urdu daily news paper ''Aftab,'' Khawaja Sanaullah Bhat on his 8th death anniversary.
While recalling the contribution of Khawja in the evolution journalism in J&K, Pandit in a statement issued to KNS said that he was a bold reporter who never compromised on truth and human values.
Pandit also remembered Khawaja’s concern about social evils and became the founder member of the Samaj Sudhar Society alongwith Dr. Allaqaband and likeminded people in 1988 to fight against social evils especially extravagance on marriages and wastage of food
He said author of many books, Khawaja’s daily column on social, political and other issues in daily Aftab ''Khazar Souchta Hai Wular Kay Kinaray'' was very popular among the masses through which he used to highlight public grievances and failures of the administration in a humorous mode.
He also prayed for eternal peace to the soul of Khawja Somaullah Bhat. (KNS)
