Srinagar, May 13 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and nominated candidate for Gulmarg constituency Shabir Ahmad Mir on Monday demanded that governor administration should probe the Sumbal rape incident on fast track basis and punish the culprit on fast track trial.

In a statement issued to KNS, Mir said that Sumbal incident is inhuman and shocking to the core.

“Such an incident is gravest of the gravest crime against humanity. No society can tolerate such shocking crimes and criminals,” he said.

He expressed heartfelt sympathy with the girl child and her grief stricken family.

“My heart goes out for the family and the child. I share my grief with the family at this painful time,” Mir said. (KNS)
