Srinagar, May 29 (KNS): Police Requirement Board (PRB) is believed to have finalised the selection list of 4000 constables which were advertised in august 2015 and for which the written test was held on 20 March 2016.
The list has not been made public reportedly in view of bye-election to the Anantnag assembly segment of state legislative assembly.
However due to the announcement of polls in South Kashmir’s Anantnag assembly segment which fell vacant after the demise of Mufti Mohammad Syed on January 7, Model code of conduct has been imposed in the constituency.
Police sources divulged to KNS, that the state Police Chief K Rajendra Kumar has written to Chief Electoral Officer J&K seeking approval for making the selection list public. (KNS)
