Srinagar, Nov 24 (KNS): Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman, Mohd Ashraf Sehrai on Saturday expressed his grief and shock over the civilian killings in Budgam and Kulgam including a teen age girl Muskaan Jan and Ishfaq Ahmed Ganai of Khandah.
In a statement issued to KNS, Sehrai said that “the forces had once again proved that they could kill at their will as they continued to enjoy impunity through the draconian laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA).”
“Its shame that the Indian rights activists, humanists and civil society members have turned deaf dumb and blind to the butchering of young Kashmiris and the world human rights watchdogs callously watch on, doing nothing,” he said.
Sehrai ridiculed authorities, their media and their false propaganda, saying that “their rhetoric and concocted stories of bravery and valour stand exposed as these forces without any provocation are targeting innocent civilians.”
He said the hearts of every Kashmiri are bleeding as youth are being continuously killed on one pretext or the other.
Blaming forces for carrying planned massacre in state, he termed it as ‘sheer cowardice and inhuman act’.
Sehrai said that “under a well-planned conspiracy, the lacs of forces in absence of any accountability have decided to go for a full fledged war against people of Kashmir and the process has been started with the genocide of youth including minor girls and boys.”
He said that the ultimate repression is being unleashed on the innocent people of Kashmir with a sole aim of breaking their resolve towards the freedom movement.
Sehrai said that “people of Kashmir are associated with a great and sacred cause and that the repressive measures can’t cow-down neither people nor the resistance leadership into a submission.”
Meanwhile, Sehrai expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Gh. Hassan Wani of Pattan (Rawalpora), who passed away today after a brief illness.
He said late Wani was a noble soul and a very kind person and prayed for his eternal peace. Sehrai said that “the deceased had played a very important role and was a great freedom fighter whose son offered his life in freedom struggle.”
Moreover, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat delegation visited the residences of Bijbehara slain militants to express solidarity with their families.
The delegation visited the residence of Aquib Ahmed Waghama, Azad Ahmed Malik of Arwani, Anees Ahmed Takiabal, Shahid Bashir Sangam.
Addressing the mourners, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader said the unprecedented sacrifices of Kashmiri people for Kashmir cause would not go waste.
