Srinagar, Nov 29 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered the closure of middle schools from December 6 and high and higher secondary schools from 17th December in Kashmir division and winter zone areas of Jammu division.
An order issued by the secretary school education department reads, “The last working day of the classes upto 8th class shall be December 4 and the winter vacation shall be observed from December 6 to 2nd March 2019. The order further reads that the last working day of classes from 9th class onwards shall be 15th December. Winter vacation shall be observed from 17 December to February 23 next year.
The officials connected with conduct of practical examinations have been allowed to avail winter vacation only after completion of practical examinations. (KNS)
