Saraibala residents set 24 hour deadline for SMC authorities to drain out water from Alsafa market lane

Srinagar, Jan 13 (KNS): A water lodged lane in Alsafa market of Saraibala Srinagar is yet to catch the attention of the authorities of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) as commuters find it difficult to walk through the lane even after four days of the recent snowing in Kashmir valley.
As per Kashmir News Service (KNS), the residents had sought the attention of the concerned authorities of Srinagar Municipal Corporation several times but the concerned authorities of SMC’s drainage division only promise use of water pumps to drain out the water from the lane but they are not even once bothered to inspect the spot for verification before draining out the water. The residents have threatened to protest on the main road leading to Srinagar international airport if the authorities fail to drain out the water from the lane in next 24 hours. (KNS)
