Srinagar, May 26 (KNS): Sama Shabir Shah the daughter of top separatist Shabir Ahmad Shah has brought laurels to Delhi Public School Athwajan Srinagar by topping the 12th class examination the results of which were declared by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today.
Securing 97.8 percent marks Sama Shabir Shah has topped CBSE’s class 12 examination in Jammu and Kashmir this year.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Sama Shabir Shah in an emotional outburst attributed her grand success in the examination to the guidance of her jailed father Shabir Ahmad Shah.
Counting the tale of pain and agony from which her family is suffering after the arrest of Shabir Ahmad Shah, the CBSE topper Sama Shabir Shah said “though the news about my grand success has gone viral across India but my father languishing in Tihar jail is yet to hear the news about my success in the examination. I miss my father but attribute my success to his guidance which helped me to pass the examination with distinction. We were made to wait for five hours at the Tihar gate for meeting my father Shabir Ahmad Shah just for twenty minutes and I would always read books for the five long hours at Tihar gate after which we were being allowed to meet Shah Sahab for just twenty minutes. I can’t forget this, I am proud of my father and I endorse all that what he is doing for the suffering people of Jammu and Kashmir state.”
Saying that my two daughters celebrate the success with me but miss their father Shabir Ahmad Shah badly, the wife of detained separatist Dr Bilquees Shah told KNS “as we were being often summoned by Enforcement Directorate (ED) my two daughters were often disturbed by my repeated appearances at the Enforcement Directorare headquarters and Tihar Jail. Thank God that despite huge physical and psychological disturbances my daughter worked hard and passed the examination with distinction. (KNS)
