Karnah, Dec 28 (KNS): Scores of residents of Dhani, Sadhpora Karnah near LOC in north Kashmir's Kupwara district staged a protest against the alleged failure of Public Health Engineering (PHE) department in providing drinking water to residents.
The protesters including men and women said they are facing acute water scarcity from last several months. They said they have approached the concerned authorities several times in the past but nothing has been done in this regard.
The protesting women lamented that the concerned department had taken them for granted and alleged that the concerned officials of the PHE Department are least bothered about the supply of drinking water to their residential area.
“We are unable to offer a single glass of water to any guest, visiting our home,” a woman explained. (KNS)
