Srinagar, Mar 20 (KNS): An Emergent session of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) was held under then chair of Senior JCC leader and president EJAC Abdul Qayoom Wani. The session strongly condemned the action of sacking the Doctor Amit Kumar in Jammu for his Personal Remarks on Social Media.
The President Abdul Qayoom Wani while addressing the session said that EJAC won’t allow any body to misuse the SRO 525 on Employees and its onslaught won’t be tolerated at any cost. He said that we had raised our doubts about the misuse of SRO 525 ab-initio. The SRO is quite against the spirit of fundamental rights and suppresses the genuine voice of employees.
EJAC president further stated that the Government Employees are not bonded labors, they too are social beings. They can’t be mute spectators to the happenings taking place around them. He expressed deep concern and anguish over the unilateral action taken by Government Under the garb of SRO 525 against Doctor Amit Kumar. He said that EJAC shall always stand by the employees for any sort of anti employee action of government and expressed solidarity with Amit Kumar.
The session strongly opposed the move of initiating action SRO 525 and demanded his immediate reinstatement and said that the SRO would strain the relations between the employees and the Government. The Session expressed solidarity with the Doctors Union and said that the strike of Junior Doctors is justified, in time and based on justice.
While concluding the session the senior JCC Leader and president EJAC AB Qayoom Wani strongly urged upon Chief Minister and worthy Chief Secretary of J&K State to revoke this anti employee SRO 525 and sought their personal intervention in the matter to provide Justice to the sacked Doctor Amit Kumar.
