Srinagar, Feb 20 (KNS): Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Commissioner, Mir Tariq Ali has constituted a committee comprising of five members in order to streamline the process of formulation of action plan for developmental works identified by Corporators and emerging public demands.
In an order under number 283 of 2019, dated 18-02-2019, SMC Commissioner has constituted a committee comprising five members headed by Additional Commissioner SMC while as F.A/ Chief Accounts Officer, Joint Commissioner (Adm), Joint Commissioner (works) as members and Assistant Director (P/M) as member secretary.
The order stressed on examining the public demands and ascertaining the feasibility thereof as per the engineering and codal formalities.
“Earmarking areas of emergency and placing an SOP for determination of emergent nature of works and it’s execution in well calibrated manner needs to be taken into consideration,” Ali said.
He said that a committee constituted shall meet fortnightly and review physical and financial aspects as spelt out heretofore and submit the report accordingly. The basic details as reflected herein above shall be provided by the Executive Engineers of all the operational wings and Accounts wing enabling the committee to get started at the earliest. (KNS)
