Srinagar, Jan 28 (KNS): Senior National Conference leader and former Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Dr. Shenaz Ganai on Monday said role of women is equivalent in contributing their ideas towards betterment of society.
Addressing a gathering of women in Dak Bungalow Poonch during a day-long convention, Dr. Ganai said that role of women is equally important in contributing their ideas towards betterment of society as men do.
“Women have always sacrificed more than men in nation building. Time has gone when women used to sit indoors and would enjoy success of others,” she said while impressing upon workers to consolidate party base by working hard at grass roots level.
She further stated that NC is the only party that represents sentiments of people living in all the regions of Jammu and Kashmir State. “Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government has betrayed people at every level and added to their miseries instead solving their problems,” she added.
All the office bearers of Mahilla wing of National Conference of Poonch were also present on the occasion. (KNS)
