‘Pvt Institutions playing pivotal role in education sector’

Jammu, Jan 28 (KNS): Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Tribal Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today said that private educational institutions are playing a pivotal role in ensuring the provision of quality education and the government appreciates the efforts of these institutions in raising the literacy rate in the state.
The Minister was speaking during the 1st Annual Day celebrations of Mount Litera Zee School, Tarore on the theme “My Earth” here at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium.
Among others, Legislators Firdous Ahmed Tak, Aijaz Ahmad Mir, Regional School Director Zee Learn India Ltd. Amita Chaturvedi, Chairman of the School, Members of the Trust besides teachers, parents and students attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Ch Zulfkar Ali said that state government has initiated multiple initiatives in the field of education to improve literacy rates in the state with focus on rural and far flung areas.
He said that young generation can make their mark in the society due to hard work, honesty, dedication and above all due to preservation of the moral ethics of rich heritage and values of our civilization which in itself has unique identity.
He emphasized the vital responsibility of the institution to provide quality educational facilities for students at all levels, as only such advancement could promote the future growth and development of the State. He said that the role of schools and teachers is very important to build a strong nation.
The Minister appreciated the efforts of the school management, founder chairman of the trust A.K Kapoor in doing well in the field of academic as well as co-curricular activities adding that the school has shown brilliance from the very beginning and as management of the school is highly trained and talented; the students enrolled in the institution will get the best for their education.
Earlier, Director of the School, Rahul Kapoor in his welcome address highlighted the achievements of the school and the steps initiated to further improve the educational setup in the school.
Later, the students presented a colourful cultural programme based on national integration, communal harmony and social evils. The main highlight of the day was a ballad performance on theme "My Earth". Students presented performance with a message to save earth which was highly appreciated by the audience and the guests.
Meanwhile, the dignitaries also released school’s First Annual Magazine "Litera Times”.
