Srinagar, Oct 16 (KNS): Dr Rafiq Ahmad Mir, Professor and Head of the Community Medicine Department, SKIMS Medical College/Hospital Bemina Srinagar passed away on Tuesday at Medanta Gurgoan after a brief illness. The Administration, Faculty, staff and students were shocked. They all expressed deep sympathies and gratitude towards the family. He was the most popular teacher among students for his efficiency and dedication.
On the Administrative front, he was leading many Important College Committees and has played a vital role in the upliftment of SKIMS Medical College/Hospital by his sincere and meticulous approach towards the issues. He was a Nobel professional and social worker par excellence. A condolence meeting is being held at SKIMS Medical College on 17th October, at 12.00 noon. (KNS)
