Srinagar, Dec 06 (KNS): Senior PDP Leader Rafi Ahmad Mir has hailed the decision of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to hand over appointment orders to a group of victims who lost their eyesight due to pellet injuries during the law and order situations in Kashmir last year.
According to a spokesman, Mir said that this decision of Chief Minister is appreciable and should be taken in the right spirit, rising above party politics, as violence and victims of violence is our collective loss.
Mir said that rehabilitation of the victims of violence is necessary and the Chief Minister is committed to ensure their re integration into the society.
The civil agitation of last year and the damage it has done to the society and psyche is immense, the Chief Minister is trying her best to bring Kashmir back on map of peace and it needs support from the civil society and other political parties, which ultimately would be in the collective interest of the state, Mir said.
