Ravi Sharma Appointed new Executive Chairman of Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association

Srinagar July 25:(KNS) Ravi Sharma, former CEO of Adani Power Ltd, Alcatel Lucent and Videocon Telecom has been appointed as the new executive chairman by the Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association. TEMA has nominated Sandeep Aggarwal as Vice Chairman of TEMA, Anil Jain as Director (Honorary) and Advocate Ashok Aggarwal as Director in relation to the growing challenges in the telecom industry.


Ravi Sharma told,Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the biggest challenge before the telecom industry and the equipment manufacturers is to meet the country's needs with local technology and equipments . As TEMA Chairman , He will try to achieve the goal in this direction.
Ravi Sharma is the Distinguished Alumni of IIT Roorkee and is also the President of IIT Alumni Council associated with the IITians across the country. More than 25,000 IITians are associated with this council. Ravi Sharma says he will try to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of "Make in India".

Ravi Sharma is also the Chairman of Prama Jyoti Foundation and it's initiative Chetna . PJF is a social organization and is handling the future of 1000 children in the Chakia Naxalite area bordering Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar. Chetna works with a mission of "Spreading Goodness " and have distributed meals to more than 10 Lac people from Bihar to Kashmir during this pandemic . The Chetna has hundred of volunteers, calling them’ The Chetna Heroes working across the country. The Chetna heroes are also working in Kashmir, where they are feeding poor and needy.


Ravi Sharma says that "now the technology of 5G after 4G, telecom handset according to it, the world of Internet is going to change a lot in the coming times. Our effort will be to make this goal in the technical field in line with Make in India keeping this challenge in mind."
