Srinagar, Jan 15 (KNS): National Conference on Monday said that rampant misgovernance and administrative chaos had become the order of the day in the State under the PDP-BJP Government as the people of the State were struggling for even essential services and commodities. Addressing the Party’s monthly Provincial Committee Meeting for Kashmir at NC Headquarters, ‘Nawa-e-Subha’ on Monday, NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani said the PDP-BJP Government was deriving sadistic pleasure from depriving people of basic necessities and rights despite the advent of the harsh winter months.
“All essential and key departments of the Government are paralyzed for lack of direction and political will as the people are suffering. This Government has wrecked havoc with the Power Sector in the entire State and especially in Kashmir Valley as hundreds of crores in funds, meant for upgrading the power distribution infrastructure, have been left unitilized for three years due to administrative inertia and lack of political leadership in the Government. Hundreds of villages and towns in Kashmir have been drowned in perpetual darkness and the Chief Minister has turned a deaf ear towards the pleas of the masses”, the NC Provincial President said while addressing the meeting.
The NC Provincial President said the Chief Minister continued to remain solely invested in her personal PR and photo-opportunities while lording over a clueless and headless administration bereft of a clear policy. “Hopping from one district to another with senior Government officers in tow to be paraded in front of PDP workers is not an alternative to an effective and realistic vision of governance. Three years have passed and the PDP-BJP Government has no achievement to present and has backtracked on every single political and governance-related promise made to garner votes in 2014. It is due to this betrayal too that the level of disenchantment and disillusionment in the Valley has reached an alarming, unprecedented level. The youth of the State have been lied to, exploited and abandoned and the repercussions are evident”, the NC Provincial President further added.
The NC Provincial President also reviewed various party activities and organizational affairs. The meeting was also attended by Provincial Secretary Advocate Showkat Ahmed Mir, YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar, District President Srinagar Peer Muhammad Afaq, State Spokesperson Junaid Azim Mattu, Provincial Vice President and Incharge Srinagar Parliamentary Segment Mushtaq Ahmed Guroo, YNC Provincial Secretary Mudasir Shahmiri and District Presidents from across the Province in addition to District Secretaries and members of the Provincial Committee.
