Srinagar, Apr 20 (KNS): The incessant rains that lashed plains since last evening has inundated several city areas including the commercial Hub Lal Chowk.
The inundation of the roads resulted in immense hardships to the commuters as well as the pedestrians; appealing authorities dewater the areas at n earliest.
The locals appealed the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) to look into the matter and redress their grievances.
Meanwhile, SMC Commissioner, Riyaz Ahmad Wani today inspected various Srinagar areas to assess the situation on the ground.
Wani according to the officials visited the areas personally and monitored the dewatering process that has been started in several areas. “The dewatering process is still ongoing at various places including the commercial Hub Lal Chowk, Jahangir Chowk, Samandar Bagh and other areas,” officials said.
