Radio Kashmir holds Pahari music event at LoC

Srinagar, Jun 30 (KNS): Radio Kashmir Srinagar held first ever open air Pahari music event at LoC Keran on the bank of river Kishen Ganga/neelam.

The event was organised by Pahari section of radio Kashmir Srinagar. A radio report on this event and Keran visit of team wl b broadcast today 30th of July at 9.30pm. This Pahari music event was held at the scenic meadows of Neelam valley.

The local Pahari folk artists and musicians from Keran performed at the bank of Kishen Ganga River. Even the tourist from other side of LOC Neelam valley watched this event. They stopped vehicles on roads and other came out from hotels of Neelam valley to watch this event.

The Pahari program producer Maqsood Ahmad visited recently LoC Keran with a team of officials of radio Kashmir Srinagar.

Maqsood said the idea behind event was to promote local talent and to explore new budding singers.

Radio Kashmir Srinagar held similar music events at higher secondary school Keran and High school Kundiya on 14 and 15 June of this month.

Maqsood is producer/editor of Shaherbeen program also he said that team recorded public grievances program also. The team was received very warmly by locals the locals were waiting for team' on different places on road upto late evening.

Radio team thanked Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and army for cooperation and coordination. (KNS)
