Srinagar, May 09 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Qayoom Wani condemned the recent toll tax imposed on local vehicles moving on national highway in Sangam area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district.

In a statement issued to KNS, Wani termed the decision arbitrary, harsh and economic onslaught on the poor transporters which will also affect the common masses of Kashmir who are already facing economic suppression.

PDP leader said that repressive measures on political, economic and social fronts will add more difficulties to the people of Jammu and Kashmir who have already suffered a lot.

He urged upon the authorities for immediate withdrawal of this order and expressed sympathy and full support to the traders, transporters and their bodies at this difficult time. (KNS)
