Srinagar, May 27 (KNS): Senior JCC Leader and President Employees joint Action committee Abdul Qayoom Wani has condemned the police action on the worshipers during Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid Srinagar.
In a statement issued to KNS, Wani termed the police action unwarranted and unfortunate in which Hundreds of men and women worshipers were injured.
He said that use of Pellet guns and force inside the historic Jamia Masjid is unacceptable which has hurted the sentiments of people.
EJAC President urged upon the authorities to avoid use of force inside and outside Jamia Masjid to avoid such type of incidents.
Wani showed sympathy with the injured persons and prayed for their speedy recovery. All the leaders of EJAC also condemned the use of force and such type of uncivilized acts. (KNS)
