Srinagar, Apr 07 (KNS): Senior National Conference leader Qaiser Jamsheed Lone on Sunday blamed Modi government for the current mess in Kashmir and condemned ban on the movement of civilian traffic on Kashmir highway.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) after addressing an election rally in Lolab, the senior NC leader said, “The ban on movement of civilian traffic on Kashmir highway is in contravention to the spirit of democracy and tantamount to curtailment of civil liberties in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Seeking immediate revocation of the ban on civilian traffic on Kashmir highway, Lone said, “Such measures show the inimical mindset of the Governor’s administration and the decision should be revoked immediately.”

When asked about the recent statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders on abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35-A, Lone said, “Dialogue is the only way forward. Kashmir is a political issue and should be addressed only politically.” (KNS)
