Srinagar, Jul 25 (KNS): Senior National Conference leader Qaisar Jamsheed Lone on Thursday toured different areas of Lolab and Hyhama to assess damage caused due to rainfall today.

In a statement issued to KNS, Lone expressed grief over death of a 6 year old boy Burhan Amad Malla from Harden Siver, who drowned after slipping in a Nallah amid heavy rains.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of death of a young boy Burhan Malla” he said.

Heavy damages to crops and livestock have been reported due rains and cloudbursts throughout Lolab valley, especially Lalpora, Warnov, Gagal and other areas in Hyhama and Kalaroose.

Lone said that I was in touch with district administration who are assessing the situation and reporting the damages. (KNS)
