Srinagar, Oct 05 (KNS): Amid chaos in the Assembly on Monday as opposition National Conference and Congress created rocked the house, Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta shouted that, ‘he was proud to be an RSS man’.
Kavinder Gupta who failed to pacify the opposition members including independent legislators who were protesting disallowing the discussion on the beef ban bill, rehabilitation of flood victims and tax on pilgrimage, shouted in reply to the NC legislators’ allegations that he was an RSS man, “Yes i am proud to be an RSS man.”
NC legislators alleged him that he was an RSS man and was implementing RSS agenda in the state. During their protest against the speaker for not allowing discussion on the beef ban issue, NC general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar and MLA Udhampur Devinder Singh Rana alleged him for not acting as custodian of the house but as an RSS man.
“Yes, I am proud to be an RSS man and I know my job as speaker better. Don’t try to teach me what I have to do and what not as a speaker of the house,” Gupta shouted at protesting members of NC.
On hearing this from the speaker the protesting NC members resorted to anti- RSS and anti speaker sloganeering.
“RSS speaker hy hy and RSS agenda nahi chalega, nahi chalega” down with RSS speaker and there will be no RSS agenda in the state slogans were raised by the protesting legislators. (KNS)
