Poor drainage irks Hamzah Colony Bemina residents



Srinagar, oct 24 (KNS): Residents of Hamzah colony ward 7 in Durbal Kadal Bemina on Saturday complained that the poor drain drainage system irks them.

According to the residents the the drainage in the area was completed last year and and has collapsed due to substandard material.

They said that despite the tall claims by the authorities they are providing every facility to people in times of covid19 pandemic at the other the poor drainage poses them the serious threat to get infect from various diseases.

A residents of the colony told KNS over phone that they have informed the concern officials several times but pleas fell deaf ear by them.

He has raised question towards authorities and said that government has spent thousands of rupees for the repairment of drains but it has collapsed in less than a year.

They have demanded strict action against those who are involved in using sub standard material.

They have appealed Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to intervene in the matter at the earliest (KNS)
