Srinagar, Mar 22 (KNS): A plantation drive was on Friday launched in Boys Higher Secondary School Handwara in which many officials and students participated.
Principal Boys Hr Sec School Muhammad Rafiq, DFO social forestry Dr Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Range Officer social forestry Javaid Ahmad, Ghulam Rasool Geelani and students participated in the event.
The media fraternity also participated in the plantation drive.
DFO social forestry Dr Fayaz Ahmad Bhat told KNS that such drives will continue in this week at the educational institutes.
He said Deodar and other saplings will be planted in these drives.
On the occasion, the importance of trees were also highlighted. (KNS)
