Special arrangements were put in place for devotees

Srinagar, Jun 20 (KNS): Hundreds of pilgrims Wednesday thronged Kheer Bhawani shrine at Tikker kup and Baderkali Handwara areas of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
District Administration and district Police had made elaborative arrangements for the annual pilgrimage of Kashmiri pandits.
“Transport, security, water and other facilities have been put in place for the smooth conduct of the ‘Zesht Ashtami,” an official said.
Many organizations like Jammu and Kashmir Bank, civil society Kupwara and many others are also providing food and refreshments to the devotees.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara Khalid Jahangir, Ex mla Kupwara Mir Saifullah, SSP Handwara Gh Jeelani Wani, SDPO Handwara Shabir Ahmad Khan and others also thronged Kheer Bhawani shrines at Baderkali Handwara and Tikker Kupwara and made elaborate arrangements for the annual pilgrimage of Kashmiri Pandits.
