Srinagar, June 11: Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir today welcomed the elevation of Javed Iqbal Wani as the Judge for the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
The Association termed his elevation as an inspirational story for students who want to make a mark in life by dint of his or her merit. “Particularly for the students who want to take law as their profession, Javed Iqbal presents a beacon of light. He has been one of the best lawyers and now we are sure he will be equally a better judge,” said G N Var president PSAJK. “We always advise our students if they have a clear goal in life and complement it with hard work, determination and commitment, nothing is impossible. Javed Iqbal is a living example of such an achievement.”
In a statement issued to kNS, the Association said that it has been after a long time that our society and students in particular have something to celebrate. “With our schools closed most students are inching towards depression as they feel pessimistic about their future. But with inspirational stories as that of Javed Iqbal we want to assure our students that current situation is a momentary pause and we will overcome all difficulties in due course of time,” said Var. “We need to shun negativity and look at the brighter side. The successful stories are always a morale booster for our students.”
Advocate Javed Iqbal Wani is the gold medallist in Law from Kashmir University and had started practice in 1990. He had been practising in Jammu and Srinagar Wings of High Court.
He had also served as Additional Advocate General from February 2019 to December 2019 (KNS)
