Srinagar, Feb 16 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday reiterated that the governments of various states must ensure safety of people from various minority groups and Kashmiris, especially the students studying in different colleges and universities outside Valley.
In a statement issued to KNS, PDP General Secretary and former minister Abdul Haq Khan has appealed governments of various states to ensure that minorities and people hailing from Kashmir aren’t targeted and requisite measures for their safety are taken on priority.
Khan also condemned the acts of arson against Kashmiris in various states, cautioning that if such a situation is allowed to continue, it could have grave consequences. He also demanded stern action against the outlaws involved in targeting Kashmiris in Jammu and harassing the families of government employees and pitched for the adequate security arrangements to be put in place so that the hideous designs of nefarious miscreants are foiled.
