Srinagar, May 24 (KNS): Hitting back at National Conference for accusing him of unleashing “reign of terror and resorting to favouritsm”, ruling PDP minister for Rural Development Wednesday said that NC is “known for its revengeful politics”.
“National Conference ruled the Jammu and Kashmir state for decades and during its rule it only resorted to nepotism and using revenge against its political opponents. NC has laid foundation of revenge politics in the state and used it for years for power,” Abdul Haq Khan told KNS.
“The party is in frustration as it does not have the habit of remaining out of power. It only wants power regardless of the means through which the power comes,” the minister said.
The PDP leader said that NC used only “loot” and never “cared” for the development and welfare of the people.
“The party only knows how to grab power. If it compares our two-year development with its decades of rule, then its leaders won’t dare to talk in public or go to them,” he said.
The NC’s provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani had lashed out against the PDP minister for “unleashing reign of terror and handing contracts to his political associates and workers” in Lolab and Sogam, the assembly segment from where Haq Khan is legislators.
The PDP leader said that arresting people is the job of police over law and order situations and punishing violators of law is done by justice system. (KNS)
