Party leadership is in jail, don’t know who issued statement: Rafi Mir

 Srinagar, Jan 09 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party has expelled nine senior leaders from basic membership of party on violation of party discipline.

The leaders who have been expelled include Dilwar Ahmed Mir, Rafi Ahmed Mir, Raja Manzoor, Noor Muhammad, Abdul Majeed Padar, Abdul Rahim Rather,  Zafaer Manhas , Javaid Hussain Beigh , Chowdhary Qamar Husain.

PDP Spokesperson confirmed the development to KNs and said that the decision has been taken on the directions of party leadership.

Reacting to the move of the PDP, Rafi Ahmed Mir questioned their expulsion from the party.

Taking to KNS, he said, “Party leadership is in Jail, how someone can expel us? We took up the issue with the foreign envoy delegation regarding present status of J&K without downgrading the status of party. Our disciplinary committee is not functional; I don’t know who has issued press release.” (KNS)
