Srinagar, Nov 20 (KNS): A condolence meeting at the head office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chaired by party general secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone was held on Tuesday in which tributes were paid to state’s former chief secretary Mohammad Iqbal Khanday. The party leaders hailed the services late Khanday rendered for the welfare of the society and for the upliftment of the downtrodden, stating that the Officer will be remembered for times to come for his dedication and integrity.
Later on, a delegation of the PDP leaders led by PDP General secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura and Srinagar District President Mohammad Khurshid Alam went to the residence of Iqbal Khanday to express solidarity with the bereaved family.
The PDP leaders who were part of the delegation were MLA Batamaloo-Noor Mohammad Sheikh, Dr Ali Mohammad, Bashir Ahmad Mir, District President Ganderbal, Aijaz Ahmad Rather secretary PDP, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Mohammad Shafi Kundangar, Mohammad Shafi Mir, Mudasir Amin, Abu-ul-Hassan, Manzoor Ahmad Matoo, Fayaz Ahmad Shehri, Bashir Ahmad Bhat- Zone President Khansahib Budgam, Bashir Ahmad Zone President Batamaloo, Ghulam Nabi- Zone President Eidgah, Mohammad Ashraf Mir- Zone President Amira Kadal and several others.
